Karen Grenier, Vice President of Operations

Karen Grenier brings over two decades of communication, training design and delivery expertise to the ACG Research Group. As the team's communication specialist, Karen uses her extensive education/training/communication knowledge and skills to research, write, and edit a wide spectrum of documents for the company.

Tapping into her diverse experience in writing/communications as well as designing training resources for public and private businesses, ranging from educational facilities, banks, telecoms and medical organizations, Ms. Grenier has fine-tuned her communication skills to lead teams in the development and implementation of resources and programs for First Union Bank, DST Interactive, Cone Mills, Phelps Dodge, Machine Solutions, and American Express.  Additionally, she has broad experience providing and overseeing quality control for documentation and has developed and implemented metrics, assessment tools and processes for evaluating technical writers, training designers, and trainers.  As the Lead Technical Writer for DST Interactive (billing software) and Metagon (data warehousing software), she directed these companies' writing team that supported, through the development of user manuals and other resources, the Software Development Divisions. Her writing skills were honed as the managing editor for a national health and yoga magazine as well as publishing articles for a variety of health supplement companies and publications. As a talented writer she has written and published on an eclectic assortment of topics for newspapers, magazines, and web sites.

Karen earned her first Bachelor's degree in English and Spanish at the University of Maine. She subsequently earned her Master's Degree in Adult Education, focusing in training and development, at the University of Southern Maine. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in fine arts, specializing in drawing and wood sculpture, from Winthrop University in South Carolina.

A self-described Mainer in exile, Karen lives in sunny Arizona with two pug dogs and cat. Her primary love is art and working in her studio. An avid walker, she has hiked the Grand Canyon numerous times, even completing a rim-to-rim hike in one day, and enjoys trail walking in Sedona, Arizona. She relishes a good book, putting around her garden, the company of friends, and gourmet cooking.
